About Mri Grout - Owner of Lifelong Vagabonds

You always hear about people quitting their successful jobs to do what I’ve done. That after so many years of working ‘behind a desk’ they realize there’s more to life than simply filling up their bank account and so they leave on a grand multi-year traveling adventure. Well I didn’t do that because I didn’t have a ‘successful’ job nor a full bank account. In fact, I was living with a drug dealer and his homeless client (it actually wasn’t as bad as it sounds) while working for $5/hr in a desperate attempt to pay for my college tuition. That, obviously, didn’t happen. Then said homeless client got in a fight with the local gang, lead them to our apartment, they robbed everyone and trashed the place, our landlord refused to kick out the homeless guy because he was well over 6ft tall and massive, he eventually attacked his dealer/my roommate with a knife, that guy called the police again, and I ended up living out of my car for six months before I said, screw this and left for Australia at the beginning of 2012... With a load of medical problems, such as overheating fairly easily and chronic pain that is triggered by the heat. But I managed and so you see, you don’t have to be rich or even well off to be able to make your dream of traveling the world a reality. I sure as heck wasn’t and have had five years full of amazing trips, life changing moments, and unforgetable experiences.
About Lifelong Vagabonds
“You’re so lucky; I wish I could travel like you!” “Wow! You’re so young; how do you do it?” “Seriously, how did you afford to travel around the world for five whole years?”
These were the reasons Lifelong Vagabonds was founded. I've met so many people unhappy with their lot in life, that dream of traveling the world or just a corner of it and are disappointed that they can't. And though I explain to them that they're no worse off than I was when I first started traveling and that I haven't had to work in years, I'm always met with disbelief. It seems impossible for someone like me to do this, but it's really not and I just wanted to show everyone that traveling truly is possible and not just for the rich. I wanted to prove that traveling can be very afforadable. It can be for the poor and the lesser off. It can be the citizens of third world countries that don't have the luxury of applying for working holiday visas. And it can even be for the male or female solo traveler. This is what Lifelong Vagabonds is all about. So travel cheap, yet awesome next vacation by visiting these FREE attractions around the world.
