Traveling is Possible Proves Middle Class Indian Mohit Agarwal
The biggest obstacle people have to overcome to travel is actually deciding to travel. Someone saying 'oh, I'd love to travel one day' doesn't count as a decision because even in that phrase they're putting it off for another day. Rather, it takes a strict decision like Mohit Agarwal's when he said, "The only thought I had in my mind was that I had a five day break in-between two exams and I wanted to go somewhere. NO PLANS ! NO BOOKINGS ! JUST LEAVE……"
Travel Tip #4
Paragliding at Barnett Park in Christchurch, New Zealand
Christchurch, New Zealand has a fantastic paragliding scene where if you show up to one of their many paragliding sites on a good day, you will undoubtedly find a good few pilots already there or arriving shortly! Barnett's Park has two launch sites - one for beginners and one for the more experienced - and should only be flown in a N-NE light wind scenario. One should NEVER fly anything in Christchurch if there's a westerly either on the ground or higher up due to the dangerously strong winds that blow over the mountains. The landing field at the bottom is a large flat grassy area that's perfect for beginner pilots.
How to Make Money While Traveling WITHOUT Having a Skill Set
The hardest thing about traveling is finding the funds to do it. Sure you can hitchhike, couchsurf, and only visit these wonderful and free attractions of the world, but you still need buy food to eat (especially since dumpster diving is getting harder and harder as time moves on), kit to replace, entry visas, and other emergency costs for when things go sideways as they always eventually do. So how does one sustain a traveling lifestyle without having to constantly fly back home for work? The obvious choice is to just apply for a work visa and teach English in China or somewhere else abroad, but unfortunately these visas are only on offer to those travelers with a university degree or other specific, desired skill set. So what if, like Rob and I, you don’t have one nor the other?
Unfortunate, but necessary ad break so I can keep supplying you guys with awesome information and fun entertainment. (:
10 Ethical Animal Enclosures Around the World
Personally, I think it's horrible that this list of the most ethical animal enclosures around the world even needs to exist; the standards that are seen on this list should simply be the base line and that is what I'm hoping to help accomplish with this post. If we can all just choose to visit an ethical zoo or sanctuary instead of turning a blind eye for entertainment, then maybe, just maybe we can end the suffering no creature should ever be forced to endure.
On My Travels, I've Learned...
For every amazing travel photo that you see plastered around the Web, there are hundreds of more mishaps and imperfections hiding away on someone's private computer. Photos and travel moments that they would only ever share with the closest of friends and family - and sometimes not even with that tight of group. For occasionally, travel lessons are so embarrassingly severe that one never wishes to speak of them ever again, but unfortunately for those people, there always seems to be at least one witness to their embarassing moment who's far willing to spill the beans. Mwuahahahaha!
